Sure Start has got together with Lowestoft Library to provide fun activities for families. From tiny tots to teenagers, mums, dads and carers too. There's something for everyone!
The following activities are free and held during term time at Lowestoft Library.
They are open to all families with children aged 0-4 years who would like to join in.
There is no need to book ahead-just come along!
Pre-schoolers Storytime
Tuesdays 1.30 - 2.00pm
Suitable for young children and parents. Choose some books to take home with you too!

Wednesdays 1.00 - 2.30pm
Suitable for parents with toddlers and beyond. Musical instruments, rhymes, singing and crafts.

Family Playtime Drop-in
Fridays 10.30 - 12.00pm
Suitable for parents with toddlers and beyond. Sand/water play, painting, crafts, toys and stories.

Gentle songs and rhymes for babies and their grown-ups.

Bundles of Fun
Fridays 1.30pm - 3.00pm
Nought till they walk. Fun activities - A chance to meet new friends, share ideas and experiences - free refreshments.

Usually the 1st Sunday of every month

Who Can Join?
Any child 0-5 years, who uses Lowestoft Library
How Does My Child Join?
You can get a ticket at the Library. With this ticket your child can also borrow books.
How Many Toys?
How Long For?
You can borrow 1 toy for up to 3 weeks. Don't forget to borrow lots of books too!
What does it cost?
You will need to pay a small charge when your child joins the Toy Library, and that's it! If you live within the Sure Start North Lowestoft area this will be £1 per child. If you live outside the Sure Start area this will be £2 per child. Young people who are members of Lowestoft Mencap Society will be charged £1.
When is the Toy Library Open?
You may borrow toys during the times shown below:
Monday - Friday 9-12 and 2-5
Saturdays 2 - 4.30
Sundays 10 -12
